    Job Objective:

    Responsible for ensuring all prescriptions are filled according to the order, without error and in a timely manner.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborative with other team members to ensure smooth workflow in pharmacy operations
    • Hire, train, manages, and schedule fulfillment technicians to ensure adequate coverage for workflow in conjunction with meeting budgeted productivity goals
    • On a timely basis, work with Operational Support Supervisor to develop and distribute monthly schedule for pharmacy technicians
    • Develop training schedule and monitor progress with assistance of Lead Tech for new daily fill technicians
    • Work closely with Leadership Team to maximize productivity
    • Actively work as a member if the daily fill team as outlined in the Fulfillment Technician Job Description
    • Regularly work with Inventory team/DFA to achieve inventory goals and perform periodic inventories
    • Monitor / review medication errors; maintain quality assurance standards for daily fill team
    • In coordination with the Director of Pharmacy Operations, develop and conduct performance evaluations (90 days after hire or transfer date, quarterly error/productivity feedback, annually and other times as needed)
    • Schedule and manage regular team meetings; in coordination with the Director of Pharmacy Operations, assist with the development of agenda items
    • Manage daily automation audits to ensure accurate packaging and filling of medications
    • Assist the pharmacist with maintaining controlled substance perpetual inventory
    • Lead by example in all areas of role and supporting the non-negotiable attributes; attitude, dependability, commitment, productivity, efficiency and upholding policies and procedures
    • Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as assigned

     

    Education: High School diploma or G.E.D (required)

     

    Requirements:

    • Current State of Maine Pharmacy Technician license
    • Pharmacy experience, preferably in a high-volume pharmacy
    • Demonstrated ability to take leadership role and appropriately direct the activities of others
    • Very good and accurate computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to resolve problem, make decisions in fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
    • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work all shifts (day, evenings and/or weekends)
    • Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time during 8 hour (or longer) shift
    • Ability to work varying and flexible 8 hour (or longer) shift
    • Ability to use hands with dexterity to quickly and accurately package prescriptions
    • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally

     

    Schedule:  Full-Time

    Ability to work flexible hours; hours of operation are subject to change based on the needs of the pharmacy
