    Pharmacy Technician 

    Punta Gorda, FL

     

    Patient Care Pharmacy is part of the Guardian Pharmacy Services network and prides itself on its customer service. Each team member plays an integral part in the success of the pharmacy.

     

    Job Objective:

    Responsible for ensuring all prescriptions are filled in correct packaging according to home preference without error and in a timely manner.

    Responsibilities:

    •  
    • Pulling labels from printer and sorting into runs
    • Correctly pulling medication to be filled
    • Scanning labels and correct medications into Framework operating system
    • Accurately filling and labeling medication in various packaging
    • Checking final census, correctly toting, and preparing medications for final delivery
    • Daily stocking of inventory as directed
    • Assist with prepackaging of medication
    • Returning medications back into inventory throughout the day and by end of shift to keep inventory available to all fill techs
    • Separate any monthly cycle meds and file accordingly with facilities cycles. Record properly on invoice
    • Assist in delivery room, toting medication to be delivered
    • Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed

     

    Education: High School Diploma or GED

     

    Requirements:

    • Florida Pharmacy Techncian License required
    • 2+ years of related experience, preferably in LTC or high-volume pharmacy (advanced degree may substitute for experienceAdvanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience required
    • Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience 
    • Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
    • Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
    • Great attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
    • Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate 

    Work Environment:

    Ability to work flexible hours; hours of operation are subject to change based on the needs of the pharmacy
